If your request for cashless care isn’t approved or you got care at a hospital that isn’t in the network, you’ll have to pay the hospital bill yourself. If you planned to go to the hospital, you can make a claim for reimbursement by telling the TPA within 48 hours.
If you need to go to the hospital for an emergency, you have to let someone know within 24 hours. To get the claim amount, you will need to do the following:
Pay all of your bills at the hospital.
Call the TPA or write or call Policybazaar.com’s health claim team.
You should have all the important information on hand, like the policy number, the name of the policyholder, the date of hospitalisation, the location or loss, the type of loss, the place and contact information of the person getting admitted, the police report if the hospitalisation was an accident, etc.
Send the TPA all the important documents.
Clear Documentation
When you get your money back, you’ll need to show the following documents:
When it comes to cash for the hospital or medical benefits
signed and filled out the claim form
Report from the consulting doctor Discharge report with details about the care
X-ray reports or pathology reports, if any, are sent with prescription bills.
